4dl ruskeaa sokeria
1dl sulaa margariinia
4dl porkkanaraastetta
4dl vehnäjauhoja
1tl suolaa
2tl kanelia
2tl leivinjauhetta
1/2 banaani
Kuorrute:
250g mascarponea
2 rkl ranskankermaa
voita ihan summassa
tomusokeria ihan summassa
tosin ei kannatta tehdä tätä kuorrutetta
I will share a story of me baking a carrot cake. I decided to bake the cake for my mother-in-law because she has been so nice and helpful for me! Sunday afternoon I went with my grocery list to a store. I found the carrots and I found the cream cheese but I couldn't find ginger or hazelnut even I had used googletranslater so that I know the words in Dutch :( Then I came home and I realized what an amazing weather it was outside do I went biking to the beach with Aino. In the evening I started the baking and I noticed that I had forgot to buy oranges for the recipe. The stores were already closed so I replaced it with banana! I baked the cake nicely, put it in the oven and started to make the cover. Then I noticed that the cream cheese I had bought wasn't natural one but flavoured with herbs :( Carrot cake is not a carrot cake without the cover so I went to a 'evening store' to get it. There was no sour cream cheese so I bought Mascarpone and I added some creme fraiche to make the cover more sour. Not the best cover but pretty good it was anyway :) Now it was already getting late and I still had to bring the cake to the mother-in-law. I let the cake cool down a little in the fridge and then I covered it. The cake looked nice but after I had biked to the destination on cobblestones the cover had dripped away and looked nasty :( But anyway - the best carrot cake I have made (and first)!
Here's the recipe:
4dl brown sugar
1dl butter
4dl carrots
4dl flour
1tsp salt
2tsp cinnamon
2tsp baking powder
1/2 banana
The cover:
250g mascarpone
2 tsp creme fraiche
butter randomly
powder sugar randomly
though better not to make this cover
