Turin is the capital of the province of Piemonte, and everybody said it is a must-see. I was actually thinking to skip the city and go to the coast somewhere, because I thought that this is a city that is ugly but tries to be modern. One day we went the morning train to Turin and I was really surprised of the city. It was an beautiful, old city with a lot to see! Cityscape had got influences from France. Our main thing for the day was however eating, so maybe most of the time we were sitting on the terrace to eat or drink. We tasted local chocolate coffee (yum yum but I have no idea if it was just hot chocolate, or was there some coffee too), we had Punt e mes (ugh glass of Cambari and water) and Aperol Sprizt (I saw all the Italians with an orange drink in theirs hand, but it was too bitter for me).
The day was relaxing and nice. Also Simon's two friends were travelling nearby and decided to come visit us in Italy. We sat at the terrace with them so long we missed our train to Nizza Monferrato and had to stay at the station for some more beers. Boys came with us to Casa Isabella and out their tent to the wine yard next to the B&B :p
